After another fantastic away win, Swans Ladies 2nd team climb to 2nd.

Southampton Uni (IV) 2 – 4 Swanage & Wareham (II)

Swans ladies 2nd hockey team climbed to 2nd place in Division 2 of the Forest League yesterday, pulling off a well fought away win against Southampton University.

Top goal scorer so far this season, Liz Solomon, opened the scoring just 10 minutes into the first half with a brilliant solo run. Ten minutes before half time, Nicole Deller was brought down by the Southampton keeper and the penalty was converted by Solomon.

The scoring continued in the second half with Solomon completing her hattrick from a short corner and finally a first goal for a very determined Anna Muir. Southampton snatched one goal 10 minutes later and another very contentious goal to end the match.

Captain, Yasmin Unsworth, stated “I’m so delighted with our performance today, we gave it our all and came away with a great result”.
